Alexander Shelley and the NAC Orchestra open their 2023/2024 season with FOCUS: CLARA, ROBERT, JOHANNES – a festival that represents the culmination of their multi-year recording cycle of the music of Clara and Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. They are joined this evening by pianists Emanuel Ax for Brahms’s 1st Piano Concerto, as well as by soprano Alex Hetherington and pianists Liz Upchurch who will perform some of Clara’s songs.
