As part of the BBC’s extensive series of fundraising events in support of Comic Relief, Alexander Shelley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra today record a light-hearted programme of witty classical works, including Richard Strauss’s Till Eulenspiegel and Rossini’s Overture to the Barber of Seville. They will be joined by Baritone Anthony Michaels-Moore and 15 sixth form instrumentalists from around the London region for some further tongue-in-cheek pieces by Leroy Anderson, Gilbert and Sullivan and Gordon Jacob.
