Following their highly acclaimed performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony during the Canada Scene celebrations in July 2017, Alexander Shelley and the National Arts Centre Orchestra this week perform the work together for the first time on their main series in Southam Hall.

Soloists Ambur Braid, Lauren Segal, John Tessier and Phillip Addis join the Combined Ottawa Choruses in the two performances on September 20th and 21st. The concert, themed around the shared human experience, opens with Copland’s ‘Fanfare for the Common Man’, followed by ‘Appalachian Spring’ by the same composer.
