The National Arts Centre Orchestra and the National Arts Centre have created several new digital platforms in order that their audiences can continue to enjoy music, conversation and the Arts from their homes during the Covid-19 crisis. Visit the NAC website to find out what’s on offer, or follow Alexander’s updates on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

Here are some of the highlights:

NACO Lunchbreaks: Every weekday at Noon, a NACO musician offers a unique musical experience filmed from their homes.

NACO HomeDelivery: Every Wednesday night, Alexander Shelley shares an NAC Orchestra archived audio recording. Sign up for these weekly concerts here.

CanadaPerforms: In partnership with Facebook Canada, the NAC has created #CanadaPerforms, a $700,000 short-term relief fund that pays professional Canadian artists and professionally published authors for their online performances. It was launched by Facebook Canada and the National Arts Centre to help ease the financial strain for Canadian artists impacted by the closure of performance venues across Canada related to COVID-19, and to lift the spirits of Canadians during the crisis. Artists who are selected will receive $1,000 and their online performance will be broadcast on the NAC’s Facebook page.
