Having made his debut in Valencia, Spain last week, Alexander continues on to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for another debut this weekend. Performing music by Mendelssohn, Bruch and Walton, he will be working with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for the first time in two concerts on February 8th and 9th at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
He will be joined by Canadian soloist Blake Pouliot, who recently performed with Alexander and the NAC Orchestra at the annual NAC Gala alongside the legendary Diana Ross.
The evening’s music is themed around the British Isles, with Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy in the first half and William Walton’s virtuosic 1st Symphony after the interval.
Alexander filmed an introduction to the programme which you can enjoy here.
