There have been several highlights in Alexander Shelley’s final season as Chief Conductor of the Nuremberg Symphony, but this weekend brings with it a particularly special moment as he and the orchestra tackle Mahler’s mighty 2nd Symphony in two concerts at the Meistersingerhalle.

They will be joined by three of the regions choirs – Konzertchor Lehrergesangsverein, Hans-Sachs-Chor and Philharmonischer Chor Nürnberg – and the soloists Ania Vegry and Marina Prudenskaya, for what promises to be one of the enduring memories of his tenure.

Tickets and details available on the Nuremberg Symphony website.
