Alexander this week returns to the Orchestre Symphonique de Quebec to lead a free livestreamed concert from their home, the Grand Theatre de Quebec.

The program opens with a work which Alexander and the National Arts Centre Orchestra commissioned several years ago and have since recorded and performed around Canada and Europe: Jocelyn Morlock’s ‘My Name is Amanda Todd‘.  This performance offers a rare opportunity to hear the work as a purely concert work, uncoupled from the visuals that accompanied it during its initial incarnation as part of the Life Reflected project.

Soloists Kerson Leong  and Stéphane Tétreault then join Alexander and the OSQ for Brahms’s Double Concerto before the concert concludes with Schumann’s 1st Symphony (a work which Alexander recently recorded and released with the NACO on Analekta).
