Alexander Shelley spent the second week of March with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and 130 dancers from the inspiring new “Klangkörper1” project. The school-children, young adults, mentally and physically disadvantaged individuals and retirees who made up the dance group had been training for six months with choreographer and director Alexander Hauer and were, almost without exception performing on stage for the first time. Dancing to the Orchestral Suites by J.S. Bach and newly written Intermezzi by Karsten Gundermann the dancers were on stage for the entire 65 minute performance and received standing ovations from the three capacity audiences in Bremen and Hannover.
