Diana Ross at the National Arts Centre

October 3, 2018

Over $780,000 was raised for the National Youth and Education Trust at last week’s National Arts Centre Orchestra annual gala, which featured legendary MoTown singer Diana Ross. In attendance was Sophie Trudeau, the honorary chair of the gala, among other top business leaders, politicians and philanthropists. Special guests of Alexander Shelley were 10 young artists from music, theatre and dance from across Canada.

The National Youth and Education Trust gives Canada’s next generation of artists the chance to grow, master their art, and take their rightful place in the spotlight. It also helps introduce young people across Canada to the wonder of the performing arts and the incredible difference it can make throughout their lives. Showcased at the NAC gala was Blake Pouliot¬†¬†– an alumnus of the NAC’s Young Artist Programme who performed Sarasate’s Zigeunerweisen alongside the NAC Orchestra.
